WZZM 13 stopped by the Sable Homes’ Parade of Homes entry, The Melrose, in Rockford’s Villas of Rosewood, and talked with Sable President John Bitely.

“The Melrose is a new floor plan design for us – this home is the first build for it,” said Bitely. “We’re very proud to have it in the Parade of Homes and showcase it.”

The Melrose, #24 on the Parade route through Saturday, July 7, offers 2,719 finished square feet of elegance and comfort, featuring high-end finishes, vaulted ceilings, and an open-concept layout that is perfect for modern living.

“This neighborhood is a single-family condominium lifestyle – so everything’s taken care of for you,” Bitely said of the Villas of Rosewood community. The Melrose is designed for those who like to entertain or have family over, and includes spaces geared for a workout room or home office.

“I’ve been in the business around 30 years, so we’ve seen the Parade of Homes in all of its stages and its glories,” Bitely added. “It’s still one of the best places for people to go out and see the new things and touch and feel the home, and actually get to know the builder. Even if you’re not necessarily thinking of building now but you’re looking one, two or three years out, you get a feel for the builders that are in Parade – get a feel for their flavor, what they’re like to work with and whether you’re a right fit for them.”

The 2025 Spring Grand Rapids Parade of Homes runs through Saturday, June 7. The Melrose entry, designed by Sable Homes, will be open for viewing Fridays and Saturdays from 1-9 p.m. and Monday through Thursday from 5-9 p.m. Tickets are $15. They can be purchased online or at any Lake Michigan Credit Union branch location in Grand Rapids. Post-event viewing of Parade homes can be viewed online from June 8-30 for $10.
